The cover and internals of this book were also designed by Megan van Staden the 2012 Te Awa Press Young Designer of the Year.
The Book Design Awards judges noted that Megan’s “designs show a real sensitivity to subject matter and an incredible versatility”, and this is evident from the samples. Each book is given a sympathetic and respectful treatment. The subject matter is interpreted typographically, and a contextual, complimentary design is created for each work.
